Topic: Does the new Ampitheater seem too loud to anyone?

This past weekend, there has been a lot of very loud music coming, I think, from the ampitheater.  Does the noise bother anyone else?  It doesn't seem fair to hear a live band booming in my house in the suburbs.

Yes, the amphiteater is too loud, but it's not due to volume actually, it's due to a strange acoustical (sp?) phenomenon that they called 'a sound bounce' in an article in the AJC a while back.  It's really weird, you can drive closer to the theater and not hear anything.  Several noise complaints have been filed by Kensington Sq residents and Barrington Farms residents but that doesn't seem to be getting anyone anywhere.  I agree it's annoying, but not nearly as annoying as the bass coming out of some of the cars driving by! smile

Speaking of the noise of cars driving by, is there any sort of neighborhood process for informing people about noise ordinances?  We have several neighbors who play music very loudly at all times of day and night.  I know I have posted a few times about noise, but it is the single most quality-of-life issue my wife and I have with living here.  I have never lived somewhere with such loud neighbors (ok - a short stint in an apartment.)
